The steel grade ASTM A135 Grade B is utilized for Electric-Resistance-Welded (ERW) steel pipes for conveying gas, vapor, water, or other liquid, it is also commonly used in fire-fighting applications. Grade A pipe is the standard grade, while, Grade B pipe is the higher-strength alternative.
The chemical and mechanical properties of ASTM A135 Grade A pipes make them ideal for use in high-pressure applications, such as conveying gas, vapor, water, or other fluid. In some countries, ASTM A135 Grade A pipes are also used as fire sprinkler pipes.
